There is a vapor separation unit here. Tower A for propylene is operating normally; the feed to Tower A contains 6 tons per hour of propylene. However, after entering the tower, only 3 tons of propylene emerge from Tower B. Additionally, 3 tons per hour of propylene cannot be separated at the bottom of Tower A, resulting in an unsuitable composition at the bottom of that tower (with 50% each of propylene and propane). Please advise!
Some propylene has been extracted from propane; please take a look at the chart above to see the parameters. A mere description like this isn’t very meaningful; there are many reasons for this.
The operating parameters are normal. This unit had not been in use for 7 years; it was restarted this year. Is there any blockage? The temperature and pressure are normal, and the pumping capacity of the bottom pump in Tower B is also high
I’m wondering if there’s a problem with Tower B?
Is it that the designed processing capacity isn’t that high?
Do you think the internals of the tower might get clogged?

The condition of the tray should be checked; equipment that has not been in use for 7 years requires a thorough inspection before it is put back into operation.
Check whether there are any issues with the internal components of the tower; if not, verify whether the process operation parameters are normal
