On April 10, the world’s first offshore mobile oilfield intervention platform, “Zengchǎn Yīhào”, began construction in Qingdao, Shandong. Designed and constructed by CNOOC Energy Development Co., Ltd. (referred to as \"CNOOC Energy Development\"), the deployment of this mobile oilfield intervention platform marks the entry into the actual construction phase of the world’s first offshore mobile oilfield intervention platform. It opens up new pathways for the large-scale and efficient development of offshore oil and gas fields in later stages, activates \"new intelligent technologies\", and plays a vital role in ensuring **energy security**. CNOOC Development aims for development in the directions of high-end innovation, intelligence, and green low-carbon practices. It strengthens independent technological innovation to develop high-end equipment for offshore oil and gas operations, providing professional technical support to increase reserves and production in offshore oil fields. The “Zengchǎn Yīhào”, which is now under construction, can provide the Bohai Sea oil field with a range of services including thermal recovery for heavy oil, acidization, and fracturing; it represents an important achievement in pursuing the development goals of high sophistication, intelligence, and green, low-carbon operations. “\"Zengchǎn Yīhào\" adopts internationally leading design concepts and integrates a variety of innovative technologies. The column-type multi-layer driven pile system was used for the first time, improving the efficiency of towing the platform into place by 15%. At the same time, customized AI large models are introduced for the first time and deployed locally. By leveraging digital twin technology, it is possible to dynamically monitor all personnel, equipment, energy consumption, and production processes across the entire platform, in real time and from all angles. This enables early analysis, assessment, and prediction of potential risks, thus facilitating intelligent management. “\"Zengchǎn Yīhào\" will be completed and delivered in 2026. Once put into use, the platform not only supports conventional extraction from offshore oil fields but also enables the implementation of various production enhancement measures such as mobile heat injection, fracturing, acidizing, profile control, and thermal recovery of heavy oil. It effectively meets the needs of various production enhancement operations in offshore oil fields, and holds great significance for the later-stage development and exploitation of offshore oil and gas fields.
