Introduction: Plastic pipes are favored in the pipeline engineering industry due to their lightweight nature, corrosion resistance, low water flow loss, and ease of installation. Compared to traditional metal pipes, plastic pipes require less energy for production and cause less environmental pollution, which has led to increasing attention from ** and related industries. Over the past 10 years, China’s plastic pipe industry has developed at an extremely rapid pace; currently, its production volume is second in the world, only behind that of the United States. The application areas of plastic pipes have expanded to various sectors such as construction, municipal services, communications, industry, and agriculture. China’s plastic pipeline technology continues to innovate in all aspects, from basic theories to product standards and testing standards. All stages of plastic pipe production should be carried out in accordance with standards, and the role of these standards in production must be continuously strengthened. To further address the practical difficulties faced by relevant manufacturing enterprises, research institutions, and other organizations, such as the lack of standards and incomplete standard collections, China Standards Press has specially compiled the \"Compilation of Plastic Pipe Standards\", which is divided into product volumes and test method volumes. This book is the \"Compilation of Standards for Plastic Pipes – Product Volume\", which gathers the **standards** related to plastic pipes that were issued by the end of January 2010; in total, there are 61 such standards and 1 standard amendment. These include product standards for polyvinyl chloride pipes, polyethylene pipes, polypropylene pipes, polybutylene pipes, thermoplastics, aluminum-plastic composite pipes, and other similar products. I. Since the publication of this Standard Compilation, 2 standards have been revised: GB 15558.1-2015 Buried polyethylene (PE) piping systems for gas – Part 1: Pipes (replacing GB 15558.1-2003); GB/T 21238-2016 Glass fiber reinforced plastic sand-filled pipes (replacing GB/T 21238-2007).
