Anti-corrosion coatings are a type of coating that is widely used in modern industries such as manufacturing, transportation, energy, and offshore engineering. Based on the corrosion resistance of their coating layers and the requirements for use, they are generally divided into two categories: conventional type and high-corrosion-resistant type. Conventional anti-corrosion coatings serve to protect metals and other materials from corrosion under normal conditions, thereby extending the service life of non-ferrous metals. Heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, on the other hand, are designed to be used in more severe corrosive environments compared to conventional anti-corrosion coatings, and they offer a longer protection period than such conventional coatings. Anticorrosive coatings are a type of paint used on the surface of objects to protect their interior from corrosion. It is a type of coating that is more commonly used in industrial construction than anti-corrosion paints, and it is widely applied in fields such as aviation, ships, the chemical industry, oil pipelines, steel structures, bridges, and oil platform structures; it is highly favored by many construction manufacturers. Anticorrosive paints can be classified by use into: anticorrosive paints for rubber, anticorrosive paints for ships, anticorrosive paints for metals, anticorrosive paints for automobiles, anticorrosive paints for pipes, anticorrosive paints for furniture, and anticorrosive paints for steel structures. Based on the solvent, they can be divided into water-based anti-corrosion paint and oil-based anti-corrosion paint. Anticorrosive paints can be classified by the resin used for film formation into epoxy anticorrosive paints, vinyl chloride anticorrosive paints, chlorinated rubber anticorrosive paints, polyurethane anticorrosive paints, acrylic anticorrosive paints, inorganic anticorrosive paints, and high-chlorinated polyethylene anticorrosive paints. And thick film formation is an important indicator of anti-corrosion paint. The coating of anti-corrosion paint prevents corrosive agents from coming into contact with the material surface; it interrupts the path of the corrosion cell, thereby increasing resistance. The flake pigments in anti-corrosion paint can prevent corrosive agents such as water, oxygen, and ions from passing through. The electrode potential of the anti-corrosion paint film is lower than that of the base metal; in a corrosion cell, it acts as the anode and \"sacrifices\" itself, thereby protecting the base metal. Anticorrosive paint maintains direct contact between the zinc powder particles as well as between the substrate and the zinc powder.
