It is necessary to raise enterprises’ awareness of corrosion prevention. At present, some companies in China do not fully recognize the severity of corrosion problems; in particular, local enterprises have a weak sense of protection, as corrosion damage takes much longer time to occur compared to mechanical damage. Believing that \"material corrosion is inevitable; fix it when it’s damaged and replace it when it’s worn out,\" there is a severe lack of investment in corrosion prevention measures. Even when anti-corrosion measures are taken, they are not adequate and fail to achieve the desired effect. Sometimes, even during the design and construction of projects that involve major repairs, modifications, or expansions, corrosion is not taken into account at all. It is only after the equipment, steel components, structures, etc., have been in use for some time that it becomes apparent that corrosion has become quite severe, sometimes even leading to accidents. If corrosion protection is carried out at this stage, it will be difficult to implement, require substantial investment, and yield poor protection results. Corrosion and protection efforts in enterprises must be based on a thorough understanding of the issue, along with the provision of appropriate equipment and qualified personnel to handle corrosion prevention.
