For the steam condensate pipes in the company, the original ends were made of 20# carbon steel and 304 stainless steel; since these are buried pipes, it is difficult to apply anti-corrosion measures using flanges. Consulting an expert, they said that it can be welded using 309 welding wire. What is the corrosion resistance at the weld joint? Is it prone to corrosion and leakage?

Based on feedback from those who have used the product, ER309 has better corrosion resistance than carbon steel. For welding carbon steel and stainless steel, 308 or 309 is commonly used, and it has many practical applications in engineering.
