The operating conditions are as follows: the normal temperature is below 40 degrees, the cleaning fluid consists of pickling paste and contains a small amount of fluoride ions; only metal materials can be used for heat exchangers. Is 316L suitable for these operating conditions? What is the maximum concentration of fluoride ions that can be tolerated? It is hoped that the service life can reach over 2 years; are there any other commonly used stainless steels that are more suitable for this application? 2205 has a longer service life.
Graphite heat exchangers are recommended; under these operating conditions, the service life of YKC-type graphite heat exchangers can exceed ten years.
It is recommended to use Incoloy 825 alloy, as it offers a good cost-performance ratio compared to Monel, Inconel 600, and Hastelloy

I think Monel alloy is the only option whose cost is justified; for lower pressures, those with linings can be used. Enameled materials may not work, as fluorine causes severe corrosion of silico-aluminates
For applications containing fluoride ions, our 1033 coating can be used, which is specifically designed to resist corrosion caused by HF acid
