Reference for the application of epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion coatings. Anti-corrosion grades: light anti-corrosion, ordinary anti-corrosion, enhanced anti-corrosion, super enhanced anti-corrosion. Coating thickness in mm: 1 layer of primer, 2 layers of topcoat; 1 layer of primer, 1 layer of glass cloth; 3 layers of topcoat, 1 layer of primer, 2 layers of glass cloth; 4 layers of topcoat, 1 layer of primer, 7 layers of glass cloth, 9 layers of topcoat. Coating thickness in mm: 0.2–0.5, 0.4–0.5, 0.6–0.8, 1.6–2.0. Applications of anti-corrosion coatings: underground insulated pipes, pipes in trenches, inner and outer walls of large tanks, chemical equipment, gas cabinets, reservoirs and power stations, sewage tanks, as well as other pipes and buried equipment that are directly buried in the ground. Also applicable to underground steel components that pass through areas with high salt or alkaline levels, marshy areas, or other harsh environments, as well as those that pass under roads or buildings. Precautions for painting: 1. Both the primer and the topcoat are composed of two-component formulations. Before painting, it must be prepared in the specified ratio, mixed thoroughly, and allowed to mature for half an hour before application. (See the product instructions for details.) 2. It is advisable to apply the coating after the paint film has dried on the surface ; For coating systems with glass cloth wrapping, the glass cloth should be wrapped simultaneously with the application of the topcoat, so as to allow the glass cloth to be saturated with the paint and ensure the quality of the topcoat layer. 3. Before applying the primer, the metal surface must be treated by sandblasting, rust removal, and degreasing, to achieve the Swedish standard Sa2.5 level. 4. After the paint film has fully cured (usually after 7 days), it can be buried and used. 5. Using FT05-3 thick-slurry epoxy coal tar anti-corrosion coating as the topcoat yields better results. Associated epoxy ferrochrome thick primer: consumption rate is approximately 0.3 kg/m2. Associated epoxy asphalt anti-corrosion paint: consumption rate ranges from 0.4 to 0.9 kg/m2, from 0.7 to 0.9 kg/m2, from 0.9 to 1.5 kg/m2, and from 1.8 to 2.0 kg/m2. Specialized thinner: consumption rate is approximately 0.03 to 0.06 kg/m2, 0.8 kg/m2, 0.10 kg/m2, and 0.12 to 0.14 kg/m2. Glass cloth usage: 1.10 m2 per m2, 2.20 m2 per m2, 7.70 m2 per m2
