For certain applications where it is suitable to use mechanical springs installed inside pipes, as the circulating water flows under a certain pressure, the springs move radially and linearly within the pipe, rubbing against the inner wall of the pipe; this helps to prevent the formation of scale on the inner wall of the pipe, and this approach has proven very effective over many years of use. This is a method to prevent scale formation. However, using this method requires that the circulating water contain no solids such as stones, as these can interfere with the operation of the turbulence generator and result in poor performance.
