Combined with the special vehicle background of long and cold winters and the extensive use of snowmelt salt on roads, the main manifestations of local vehicle corrosion are concentrated in the following aspects:: 1. Car body paint surface symptoms include small bulges and bubbles on the surface of the car paint, local discoloration, graying, powdery peeling, and snow water seeping into the gaps in the paint surface. After repeated freezing and thawing, it will directly cause the car paint to crack or even fall off entirely, exposing the underlying metal. Rust and powdery rust will also accumulate in the gaps. 2. Chassis and running system performance: The chassis protective layer falls off and contiguous rust spots appear. The unarmored chassis frame and suspension parts will be rapidly oxidized. The long-term residue of snowmelt salt attached to the gaps between tires and wheel hubs will cause white rust spots to appear on the aluminum alloy wheels. Obvious floating rust will form on the surface of the brake disc. In severe cases, groove wear will occur. 3. Hidden structure type shows that rust powder accumulates on the bottom edge of the door, wheel arch, and body welding gap. The inner cavity of the door and the corners of the trunk are rusted from the inside to the outside. When the external paint surface blisters, the interlayer metal has often been rusted through, and the metal pipes and bolts in the engine compartment will also show dark rust stains. 4. Exhaust and mechanical components show that a large area of rust layer appears on the surface of the exhaust pipe and muffler. In severe cases, it will rust through and leak air.
