Sources of stray current include trams, power generation equipment, electrolyzers, and cathodic protection equipment. To prevent corrosion caused by metal stray currents, the following measures can be taken: First, conduct a survey of the surrounding environment during the design phase to identify potential sources of stray currents. Secondly, the underground structure can be provided with insulation protection, such as by using plastic coating or applying anti-corrosion paint. Furthermore, the drainage method can also be employed; by connecting a rectifier to the negative feed line, cathodic protection can be provided for the structure, thereby effectively preventing corrosion caused by stray currents.
