For workpieces that are not resistant to high temperatures (aluminum and aluminum alloy products, copper and copper alloy products, plastics, rubbers, and other polymer materials), acidic degreasing is used. Acidic degreasing at room temperature allows for the gentle removal of oil stains while protecting the metal surface from oxidation and discoloration. It also effectively removes oils and oxides, preventing plastics and rubbers from softening or aging (care must be taken regarding acid concentration to avoid corrosion). Multifunctional surfactant C-202 can be used in combination with pickling corrosion inhibitor SW-10 for cleaning purposes. Acid degreasing at room temperature is suitable for applications where the material is sensitive, low energy consumption is required, the oil contamination is mild, and high environmental standards must be met. It is necessary to select the process parameters based on specific operating conditions in order to ensure effective degreasing while safeguarding the integrity of the workpieces.
