How difficult is the project? 16 large tanks pose a greater challenge: the scope of work for this project is very extensive, covering areas such as sedimentation, leaching, and evaporation. Alone, the decomposition and grading process requires anti-corrosion treatment for 16 large tanks. These “giant” structures have a total weight of up to 10,800 tons; the diameter of each tank is 18 meters, and the maximum clear height of the tanks is 44 meters, which is roughly equivalent to the height of 15 floors! If traditional manual construction is used, the first step requires building a dense network of scaffolding, which is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive with soaring costs, but also poses serious safety risks at heights. In case of bad weather such as wind and rain, construction has to be suspended, and the project timeline cannot be guaranteed at all. This “construction challenge” once posed a difficulty for the project team. Cutting-edge technology makes its debut! Robots take on the heavy burden. To overcome these bottlenecks, the project team adopted targeted measures by introducing \"high-tech reinforcements\" – the AP series of multi-functional anti-corrosion robots. After numerous specialized discussions and comparisons based on factors such as performance, adaptability, and efficiency, the swing-arm open-type sandblasting anti-corrosion robot was ultimately selected. This robot is no ordinary one! The core is a permanent-magnet adsorption wall-climbing chassis, which can firmly \"attach\" itself to the tank wall and prevent falling off. It also comes equipped with \"superpowers\" such as one-button automatic lane changing, horizontal operation, and high-precision autonomous navigation, making it extremely easy to use – all that’s needed is an electrical control cabinet and a wireless remote control, allowing ground staff to easily manage it. How absolute is the advantage? Robots outperform humans significantly: their arm radius can reach 1.2–1.5 meters, with a maximum rust removal efficiency of 40㎡/h, and even higher at 200㎡/h for spraying tasks. Thus, their work efficiency is 3–4 times that of traditional manual labor. With it, the timeline pressure is cut in half! Thanks to high-precision navigation systems, robots can move autonomously across complex tank wall surfaces, accurately avoiding issues such as missed spraying or over-spraying. This ensures that the anti-corrosion coating is applied evenly and firmly, guaranteeing the quality of the work while also reducing material waste. What is most reassuring is the safety aspect – full ground control eliminates any risk associated with working at heights. Even in harsh weather conditions such as strong winds and humidity, the robot can operate steadily without being affected by the weather. Moreover, it causes zero pollution during operation – no sparks or dust – which not only protects the health of construction workers but also avoids damage to the tank walls, truly achieving green construction. The equipment features a modular design, making it easy to transport and assemble. It can adapt flexibly to different operating conditions, and can handle any type of tank or container with ease.
