It was learned on May 15 that Anhui Xinmiao New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. planned to invest a total of 10 million yuan in the Xinmiao water-based coating technical transformation project that was recently completed and accepted. The technical transformation has been completed, and the production scale is 40,000 tons of water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coatings and 10,000 tons of water-based sealants annually. Anhui Xinmiao New Material Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Circular Economy Park of Huangshan City, Anhui Province, covering a total area of ​​17.57 acres. The company's annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of new water-based coating materials was approved on June 24, 2022. The project is constructed in two phases. After the completion of the first phase, it can form an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons of water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coatings and 10,000 tons of water-based varnishes. The construction was completed in May 2023, and the phased completion environmental protection acceptance was completed in July 2024. In the second phase, two new products, water-based sealant and cold spray zinc coating component A, will be added, with production capacities of 5,000 tons/year and 10,000 tons/year respectively. Anhui Xinmiao plans to cancel the construction of the second phase of the project based on market demand and energy conservation and emission reduction requirements, transform a water-based varnish production line in the existing No. 1 factory into a water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coating production line, and add a water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coating production line and a water-based sealant production line. The products will be upgraded by adjusting raw materials and production processes. After the technical transformation, the production capacity of the entire plant remains unchanged at 50,000 tons of water-based coating materials. The product plan has been adjusted from annual production of 25,000 tons of water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coatings, 10,000 tons of water-based varnish, 5,000 tons of water-based sealants, and 10,000 tons of cold spray zinc coating component A (replacing electroplating) to annual production of 40,000 tons of water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coatings and 10,000 tons of water-based sealants. The project's water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coating is mainly used for container chassis paint. The VOCs content in the water-based asphalt damping anti-corrosion coating produced by the project can meet the corresponding VOCs content limit requirements in "Water-based Coatings for Containers" (JH/T E06-2015) and "Technical Requirements for Coating Products with Low Volatile Organic Compound Content" (GB/T38597-2020) ； Water-based sealant is mainly used for sealing container welds and expansion joints. The VOCs content limit in water-based sealant is ≤50g/L.
