Considering the highly corrosive environments in the splash zones of offshore and tidal flat oil platforms mentioned earlier, some typical successful applications of this technology are as follows: 1. Application case at the offshore platforms in the Bohai Sea oil field. The Tianjin branch of CNOOC applied this technology to the highly corrosive areas such as the riser supports on the offshore platforms operated by Caofeidian Operations Company, achieving long-term corrosion protection lasting over 30 years. The material is environmentally friendly and has strong fire resistance; it is also suitable for operating in environments subject to platform vibrations, making it a model project for green corrosion protection in the Bohai Sea oil field. II. Application Cases of Marine Platforms in the Shengli Oil Field: This technology has been put into use on tidal flats and marine platforms in the Shengli Oil Field. It is a core achievement developed by the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and it is one of the first projects in China to apply this technology in oil extraction operations, effectively solving the corrosion problem in the splash zones of tidal flat platforms. III. Case study of the renovation of a single-well platform at the Yellow River estuary in the Bohai Bay. This platform is located in an area with high sediment content and floating ice, resulting in extreme corrosion conditions; it has been in use for 10 years now, and the coating in the splash zone has completely failed, with local erosion pits reaching a depth of 5 mm. After the renovation was completed through a complete paraffin coating process, the corrosion problem in the splash area of the platform was completely resolved, and the protective lifespan was significantly extended. IV. Benchmark Cases in Port and Wharf Areas: The liquid chemical terminal at Qingdao Port has been using this technology for nearly 15 years; the protective layer is in excellent condition without any damage, and the internal steel structure is shiny and free from corrosion. This demonstrates the long-term reliability of this technology in areas subject to splashes in high-load ports. V. Cases of Major Cross-Industry Projects: This technology has been applied in nearly a hundred major projects, including the Dalian Beiliang Port terminal, the LNG terminal at Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port, and the Hangzhou Bay Bridge, covering various marine corrosion scenarios such as ports, bridges, and offshore wind power installations.
