Mainly based on the acid and alkali concentration, temperature, medium type and other parameters in the environment, it can be determined to be a highly corrosive environment if any of the following conditions is met: Acid-base concentration (environmental medium pH value 4 or pH 10, including long-term exposure to acidic solutions, alkaline solutions, and intermittent acid-base alternating erosion environments), temperature conditions (environmental long-term temperature is 150°C, or short-term temperature can reach above 200°C), compound corrosion conditions (satisfying acid-base erosion + high temperature at the same time, or salt spray, high humidity environment with a humidity of 95% plus acid-base/high temperature conditions). In addition, some special media (such as environments containing chloride ions and organic solvents) are highly corrosive environments even if the pH value and temperature do not meet the above standards, and additional targeted selection is required1. In the selection of commonly used anti-corrosion paints in industry, different types of paints have their own specific tolerance limits and applicable scenarios. For example, epoxy paint is suitable for strong acidic environments at normal or medium to low temperatures, silicone paints are suitable for high-temperature dry environments, and fluorocarbon paints are suitable for high-temperature + acid-base composite environments and complex harsh media environments1. Therefore, when determining whether an area belongs to a highly corrosive environment, the above factors should be comprehensively considered and judged based on specific application scenarios.
