DN1400, simulation of low-pressure high-temperature steam pipelines; a branch line of 700 mm diameter leads to the shell-and-tube steam-water heat exchanger. The manufacturer requires the use of corrugated expansion joints to ensure that the stress at the device’s nozzles is kept to a minimum! When arranging the pipes, I tried my best to absorb any displacement of the pipes and reduce the forces acting on the nozzles. However... shouldn’t the manufacturer also conduct an appropriate assessment to determine whether their nozzles can actually withstand the forces I’m applying now? What if wave compensators are used? What are the options in such a case?
……Does the manufacturer not specify the stress requirements? What manufacturer is this? It’s some small workshop, I guess. Moreover, your 1400 pipeline is already considered a large-diameter pipeline, so using C2 is no longer cost-effective.

For waste processing manufacturers, it should be specified in advance what load the equipment interfaces can handle.
Why doesn’t it work when an expansion joint is added? Stent issue? Blind plate force?
