When using Aspen Plus RCSTR to simulate a reaction, in which option of which reactor should the space velocity be set?
The space velocity is typically determined by the operating conditions and the catalyst loading in the unit, and is defined as the amount of material processed per unit mass of catalyst per unit time; for gas feed, it is expressed in Nm3/(tcat.*h). In Aspen, the space velocity is usually not specified; once the device size is determined, the loading amount is fixed, and once the air intake volume is established, the space velocity is also determined.
