The client needs to handle the distillation waste liquids and exhaust gases from various devices, but their exact composition is complex; it’s not possible to determine the specific components. Only the specific calorific value and elemental analysis are provided. So how should I enter the reaction components when simulating the reactor? Help.....
You overestimate Aspen; you think it’s a universal software, but it’s completely unable to do this task.
This software can be used for that; there’s coal powder combustion involved, and the composition isn’t known either. There are methods to determine it using Fortran, but I’m not very good at it
Well, it requires you to enter the basic data; if you have that information, you can do the calculations by yourself. There’s no need to use Aspen at all, as that’s not its strength.

Elemental analysis alone is not very useful; different arrangements of atoms result in different molecules and bond energies, so don’t rely too much on simulations.
If you have any questions, please state them specifically; vague requests make it impossible to help. As for coal combustion in Aspen, the core principle in Fortran is mass balance – Aspen will work as long as this mass balance is maintained. For example, the mass of carbon in the coal is assigned to the CO2 in the reactor outlet through the Calcutter module, thereby ensuring equal masses; the same principle applies to other elements. Regarding the heat of combustion, Aspen also provides a value, but I’m not sure if its order of magnitude is similar. You can compare the values after you’ve completed the calculation
