Why does the graphic generated by a path array always extend beyond the path?

As shown in the image, I generally have several methods for handling this, but each of them has obvious drawbacks; these are just suggestions to inspire further ideas. 1. Change the base point, but this method doesn’t work when the starting point of the array pattern is not at the start of the path. 2. Add additional auxiliary paths, but this makes the modifications more complicated. 3. Use the equal division method, but it’s necessary to set an appropriate number, and that number must be reset whenever the path is modified. 4. Decompose the array and then delete the unnecessary elements; again, this approach is complicated to modify
Actually, there’s no good solution unless the length of your segments is a multiple of equal divisions.
