In traditional CAD mechanical drawing, when engineers wanted to perform operations such as breaking apart certain CAD entities, intersecting them, or merging elements, the process was not only cumbersome but also made it difficult to carry out some of these operations. The construction tool feature in Haochen CAD drawing software can solve this problem for everyone. Next, I’ll share with you the instructions on how to use these construction extension tools as part of a beginner’s CAD tutorial! CAD Break Tool: Break. In the HaoChen CAD Mechanical software, go to [HaoChen Mechanical (M)] → [Construction Tools (S)] → [Break (B)], or enter the command “DAD”. A command prompt will appear; select the line/circle/arc that is to be broken, and then specify the break point or another entity, thereby creating the shape shown in the figure below. CAD extension tool: Intersection. In the HaoChen CAD Mechanical software, select 【HaoChen Mechanical (M)】→【Construction Tools (S)】→【Intersection (E)】, or enter the command “JJ”. A command prompt will appear; select the first entity and then the second entity to perform the intersection. As shown in the figure, before intersection/after intersection. CAD extension tool: Merge Entities. In the HaoChen CAD Mechanical software, select [HaoChen Mechanical (M)] → [Construction Tools (S)] → [Merge Entities (J)], or enter the command “GMJOIN”. A command prompt will appear; select the first entity and then the second one to merge them. Before merging, it is as shown in the figure; after merging, it is as shown in Figure 5. CAD extension tool: Dynamic Extension In the HaoChen CAD Mechanical software, go to [HaoChen Mechanical (M)] → [Construction Tools (S)] → [Dynamic Extension (D)], or enter the command “YS”. A command prompt will appear; select the first entity and then the second entity to perform dynamic extension. The extension before and after is as shown in the figure. CAD extension tool: Break Symbol. In the HaoChen CAD Mechanical software, select 【HaoChen Mechanical (M)】→【Construction Tools (S)】→【Break Symbol (K)】, or enter the command “ZDF”. A command prompt will appear; select the line on which the break symbol is to be inserted, and click on that line at the desired location for the symbol, as shown in the figure below. The above are the usage tips for the supplementary tool in the Haochen CAD beginner’s tutorial – you guys can give it a try!~
