Aspen Plus simulation of the MDEA decarboxylation process

Hello everyone, I have been using Aspen Plus to simulate the MDEA decarboxylation process recently. I already know the height and diameter of the absorption tower, but Aspen Plus also requires the number of trays in the tower. How is this number of theoretical plates calculated? Should I still get experience points? How is it done specifically? Thank you all!
This is a more mature process, often already implemented in industry, with known design parameters. If it is a new process being developed, it indeed needs to be calculated.
