When using the HaoChen CAD drawing software to create drawings, annotations play a very important role. A drawing without annotations is like a person without eyes; we cannot do without CAD annotations in our drawing process. When there is a lot of content to be annotated in a drawing, we can use the software’s quick annotation functions and intelligent annotation tools to help us complete the annotations more quickly. How to use intelligent dimensioning: HaoChen CAD Mechanical Version 2013 provides a complete set of dimensioning tools, among which the most distinctive one is intelligent dimensioning. Click “Haocheng Machinery” --- “Dimensioning” --- “Intelligent Dimensioning”; alternatively, we can also use the shortcut key “D”. This command is referred to as “intelligent annotation” because, after clicking it, it is possible to annotate various types of elements. For example, by selecting a straight line or two parallel lines after clicking the command, it is possible to measure the length of the straight line and the distance between the two lines, as shown in the figure below. Additionally, it is possible to annotate slanted lines in all aspects, without having to use commands for horizontal alignment or other such annotations, as shown in the figure below. For two lines that form an angle, simply select each of the two lines, and the angle can be measured directly. To label circles or arcs, simply select the shape that needs to be labeled, and a dialog box will appear offering choices for diameter, radius, or arc length labeling styles, as shown in the figure below. Just select the appropriate labeling style based on the shape. After making the annotations, if we need to edit them, we simply need to double-click on the dimensions of the annotation to open the editing dialog box, as shown in the figure below. We can enter special symbols or select tolerance codes; we can also customize the tolerances. In the dialog box, it is possible to choose the style of the annotation as well.
