As companies’ demand for 3D software increases, there are now more and more such programs available on the market, including PRO/E, 3Ds MAX, Solidworks, and HaoChen 3D. Next, I will briefly explain the similarities and differences between HaoChen 3D and SolidWorks. Haocheng 3D is a 3D software developed by Haocheng Software based on Windows. It boasts an independent brand name and complete intellectual property rights, and was created by integrating world-leading technologies with the company’s nearly 30 years of experience in providing industry services, its core technical expertise, and its pool of professional talent. By integrating Haochen CAD, which is widely used both domestically and internationally, it offers users a more comprehensive and efficient 2D+3D integrated solution. SolidWorks is a general-purpose 3D mechanical design system developed using Windows technology. It provides convenient 3D modeling tools that can reduce errors during the design process and improve product quality. It is currently a mid-range 3D CAD system belonging to SolidWorks, a company under the French Dassault Systèmes group. 1. Software installation packages: HaoChen 3D (about 3GB); SolidWorks (about 15GB). Both only support 64-bit systems. HaoChen 3D is easier to install and requires fewer hardware and software resources from the computer, thus helping companies save on hardware costs. 2. Modeling Techniques: HaoChen 3D offers three modeling techniques: sequential modeling, rapid modeling (synchronous modeling), and incremental modeling. It allows for the editing and modification of all 3D data (B-spline models and surface models in STL format). SolidWorks, on the other hand, only provides the traditional sequential modeling method; its design options are limited, and it does not support the editing of surface models (STL format). In terms of modeling techniques, SolidWorks can read DWG files, but the data must be manually converted into sketch data for the 3D modeling process – the 2D data cannot be used directly. 6. Reuse of 2D data: HaoChen 3D excels in this area; it can directly read DWG files, automatically convert 2D projections into 3D wireframe formats, and transform 2D dimensions into 3D dimensions that can be used in modeling, thereby providing design data for 3D modeling. Haocheng has conducted thorough research on the usage scenarios of its domestic users. 7. SolidWorks design modules, covering parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings ; Haocheng 3D, covering parts, assemblies, engineering drawings, sheet metal, welding ; For beginners or personal use, either one will work; they both offer comprehensive features and are easy to learn and use.
