When using the Haochen CAD software to create drawings, it is sometimes necessary to insert the graphics from those CAD drawings into Word/WPS. Apart from taking screenshots using QQ or WeChat, what other convenient methods are there for inserting graphics from CAD drawings into Word or WPS? QQ screenshot and BMP bitmap output: We can take screenshots using QQ/WeChat, or generate BMP bitmaps and then paste them into the document. Taking screenshots with QQ/WeChat is the simplest method, and those who are not very familiar with CAD often use this approach. The output of both is similar; the bitmaps inserted into the document all have a black background, and they become distorted when enlarged. Exporting BMP bitmaps is a bit more complicated than taking screenshots, and since BMP bitmaps output the display area of the current view, we cannot precisely control the display range. When using the screenshot method, everyone should adjust the size and position of the view to maximize the usable area, so as to ensure high-quality screenshots. If you want to change the background color of CAD to white, you can follow the steps shown in the image below. 2. Copy and paste: We can directly copy the CAD graphics in the CAD software, then paste them into Word, and subsequently adjust the position and size of the CAD graphics by cropping and scaling. This method has the following three advantages: A. When copying in HaoChen CAD, a image with a white background is automatically generated ; B. The graphic pasted in is a vector graphic, so it won’t get distorted when scaled ; C. After double-clicking the image, CAD can be launched directly for editing and modification. This method is not only simple to operate, but the images can also be modified. However, if the selected element extends beyond the desired insertion area, it will still be pasted in its entirety in Word and WPS, without the graphic being broken up as it would in a screenshot. It can be seen that this method copies element objects, not just pixels. As can be seen from the animation below, the range of the pasted graphic is related to both the size of the copied elements and the viewing range. Therefore, before copying, be sure to carefully verify the view range and the objects displayed. Everyone can also expand the copying range, as what is pasted are vector graphics; the appearance of the images can also be adjusted using the cropping and scaling functions in Word and WPS. In addition, there are two other methods: one is to select GstarCAD Drawing objects after selective pasting, and the other is to choose Insert – Object in Word or WPS. I have tested both of these editors, and the results are the same as those obtained by direct copying and pasting. 3. With other methods of virtual printing JPGs, the CAD graphics displayed show the colors of each layer, rather than a uniform black-gray shade, and it is difficult to control the line width. With a properly set print style, it is possible to generate aesthetically pleasing virtual printed JPG files, which can then be copied and pasted; however, the process is somewhat cumbersome. 4. Exporting in WMF format: Using this method, the vector graphics produced cannot be edited in Word, but no jagged edges appear when scaling them. At the same time, this method can also prevent others from altering the graphics in the document; the operation is as shown in the figure.
