To facilitate viewing of drawings, carry out production preparation work, manage drawings and parts, or prepare other technical documents, it is often necessary to number each part in DWG drawings. So how can one use the Haochen Mechanical CAD software to assign serial numbers to DWG drawing files? Next, I’ll share with you the methods and tips for adding serial numbers in CAD! In the HaoChen CAD mechanical software, by calling 【HaoChen Mechanical (M)】→【Serial Number/Detail List (B)】→【Serial Number (B)】 or entering the “XH” command, a dialog box similar to the one shown below will appear. The following six numbering formats can be selected to number the various parts. Click \"Size Control\" in the image above to set the size of the serial numbers as desired, as shown in the figure below: Automatic adjustment of serial numbers: When there are duplicate serial number labels, the subsequent serial numbers are automatically adjusted, which is equivalent to automatic insertion of serial numbers. “If “Auto-adjust serial number” is not selected, duplicate numbering will occur, which is equivalent to numbering the same part multiple times in different views. Fill in the details table content: When this option is checked, a \"Details Table Edit\" dialog box will appear when placing the sequence number reference point; at that time, the content corresponding to that sequence number can be entered directly. By clicking the 【Save】 button, it will be recorded in the details table generated subsequently. A. Lead with bend point: When this option is checked, the serial number lead can be bent once. B. Continuous sequence numbers: When this option is selected, sequential numbering is applied, with the position where the numbers are inserted determined by the location where the mouse is clicked and the direction in which the mouse is dragged. C. Delete associated details: When the checkbox is selected to delete the annotation number generated, the corresponding details in the schedule will be automatically deleted as well. D. Associated part information: When there are parts inserted directly from the part library in the diagram, check this option; when a reference is made to such a part, its related details will be automatically generated. E. Sequence Number: The value assigned for this sequence number; the system will automatically display it by accumulating based on the most recently assigned sequence number value, and you can modify this here to set an appropriate sequence number value. F. Prefixes and suffixes: Text of other annotation types can have prefixes and suffixes added. G. Dimension Control: If it is necessary to control the dimension format, click on the “Dimension Control” page to display the “Serial Number-Dimension Control” interface, where you can adjust the size of the serial numbers according to your own design preferences*. The text height in dimensioning refers to the height of the text within dimensions, and it is possible to modify the text height in the dimension style. Therefore, when using the Haochen Mechanical CAD software to number DWG drawings, one can apply the various CAD numbering methods described in this article; I hope this will be helpful to everyone.
