When using domestic CAD drawing software to create architectural CAD drawings, there are many different design methods for stairs, and double-flight stairs are one of the most common types of stairs. In the upcoming CAD drawing tutorial, I will introduce to you the domestic CAD software – HaoChen CAD Architecture Software – and provide details on double-flight staircases in this software! CAD Drawing Tutorial: Double-Flight Stairs. Double-flight stairs are the most common type of staircase; they consist of two straight flight of steps, a landing, one or two handrails, and one or two sets of railings. They can be represented in both 2D and 3D views. A double-flight staircase can be exploded into its basic components, such as straight stair treads, platforms, and handrails. The stair direction line is part of the staircase object, which allows it to automatically update its position and shape as the cutting position changes. The extension length of the handrails, whether they are connected to the platforms, and the spacing between the stair treads can all be adjusted arbitrarily. The text associated with the stair direction line can be modified in the properties panel. Additionally, a new feature allows the top floor slab to cover the stair treads. The double-flight staircase object includes various common combinations of components: whether handrails are provided on both sides, whether a central handrail is connected to the landing, the length to which the handrails extend, the presence or absence of side beams for the flight (with their dimensions adjustable in the property panel), and whether the landing is semi-circular or rectangular. These options are designed to meet the individual requirements of each building. The inclination direction of the staircase’s cross-section can be adjusted according to the user’s preferences, and this rule remains unchanged even after mirroring. The above CAD drawing tutorial provides an introduction to double-flight stairs in HaoChen CAD, a domestic CAD drawing software. It is believed that after reading this tutorial, everyone will have a basic understanding of double-flight stairs. In the next tutorial on architectural CAD drawing, we will cover the techniques for drawing double-flight stairs using HaoChen CAD.
