When numbering pipes, attribute transfer has posed a problem for me for a long time. Without administrator privileges, I can only create drawings in the manager interface. Regarding attribute transfer, I can handle pipe numbering and dimensions by using break runs or by breaking and reconnecting the elements; however, once the pipe material is connected, all related attributes are transferred as well. The only way to break apart such connections is by adding break runs before and after the valves. I have pipes of grade A connected directly to pipelines of grade B; the properties are always passed over directly, and it’s not possible to change that. Even when the connections are disconnected and reconnected, the properties are still transmitted. I’d like some advice on this
In SPPID, filling pipeline information through attribute passing is a common method of operation. The situation you described may be due to pipes of grade A being connected directly to pipelines of grade B, which causes the properties to be automatically transferred and thus cannot be changed. For this situation, you can try the following methods: 1. Try inserting a material conversion connector at the interface, that is, install a specialized adapter or coupling at the junction between the A-grade and B-grade material pipes, which will prevent the transfer of properties. 2. Another method is to create two separate pipeline segments in the pipeline diagram, assign materials to each of them, and then connect them together. If using this method, please ensure that the \"Merge\" or \"Auto-Connect\" function is not enabled when connecting the two pipeline segments, to prevent the attributes from being transferred again. If the above methods cannot solve the problem, it is recommended that you contact the software’s technical support and describe your issue and requirements in detail, so that they can provide a professional solution. .
Hello, could you explain your method in more detail? 1. Which sym are the adapter and coupling? Which category of block should it belong to? 2. Where can I set the integration and automatic connection features? I searched the textbook many times but found no detailed explanation; it only briefly covered the function of break runs
