I have a question: using Aspen for extraction, if we want to extract isopropanol from a solution of benzene, isopropanol, and butanol by using water as the extracting agent, so that water and isopropanol come out at the bottom of the tower while benzene and butanol come out at the top, thereby achieving complete separation of isopropanol and butanol, can this be done through an extraction module?
Complete separation is difficult to achieve through extraction.
The accuracy of Aspen simulations for extraction is very poor due to the strong intermolecular forces. Generally, the extraction efficiency and other parameters are determined through experiments, after which further actions are taken based on the experimental data
