Recently, the Digital Delivery Platform (EDHP) of CNPC Engineering Construction Company was put into use. This is another significant achievement in information technology development following the acceptance and deployment of SINOPEC Engineering’s EMP2.0 and design management platform; it marks the complete establishment of SINOPEC Engineering’s core information systems: digital operations, digital management, and digital delivery.
Digital delivery creates static digital asset models for engineering projects; it is an essential pathway to realizing digital and smart factories, and it also serves as a crucial link for engineering construction companies to expand and transform from EPC services to operation-related services.
Platform positioning: The digital delivery platform is positioned as a service platform for the delivery and management of EPC data assets. By leveraging its functional components and data management tools, it provides project owners with services such as project document approval, 3D review, visual management of project progress, as well as full-life-cycle data asset management.
Feature 1 of the platform: A delivery platform supported by digital collaborative services. This digital delivery platform is built on the company’s comprehensive digital production and management systems. Digital delivery starts from the needs of user data asset management and future information-based operations; it relies on engineering data models (BIM) to carry out data collection and governance, reconstruct data models, and achieve the final delivery.
Feature 2 of the platform: It offers good compatibility and can be configured flexibly. The integrated development of the platform makes use of component-based and modular technologies. The entire platform utilizes 11 core system application components and 9 functional business components, and is equipped with domestic GIS, a lightweight 3D engine, a 2D drawing engine, full-text search, a data management module (DI), as well as an ISM data standard management module, enabling the rapid customization and delivery of platforms tailored to the needs of different types of projects.

Feature 3 of the platform: Strong data standard management capabilities. The digital delivery platform regards the establishment and management of data standards as a core aspect of its efforts to improve integration, and has established a dedicated Information Standard Management (ISM) unit to handle data standard management at three levels: industry level, enterprise level, and project level. Standard establishment: This includes the entry of industry-wide standards (such as CFIHOS, ISO 15926, GB51296, etc.), the development of corporate standards (CPECC RDL), and the maintenance and management of these standards according to their version numbers.
Standard mapping: Based on objects, it performs RDL mapping between standards and among standards as well as between standards and engineering software, in order to meet the business requirements of flexible switching between platform standards and rapid delivery of structured data from design software. Standard release: Based on the actual requirements of the project, select the appropriate object classes, create project-level data standards, and release them to the delivery platform. Output in formats such as .xlsx and .xml is also supported for use in other systems owned by the client.
Feature 4 of the platform: Advanced data format parsing capabilities. The platform includes built-in modules for parsing and viewing 2D and 3D files; no plugins are required, and it supports various data formats from different engineering software applications; It uses a domestically developed GIS engine, supporting the integration of various geographic information data resources ; Cloud rendering technology is employed, enabling ultra-large models to be loaded in seconds ; The platform utilizes OCR recognition technology to create a \"Baidu Center\" for factories, facilitating data management and retrieval.
Feature 5 of the platform: It possesses the capability to manage data assets throughout their entire lifecycle. Developed based on CNPC’s research project on \"Key Technologies for Digital and Intelligent Oil and Gas Fields,\" this platform for managing data assets across the entire lifecycle has been put into use in actual projects.
Moving from the construction of physical factories to digital and intelligent factories, and from construction to operation, this data platform can be expanded for digital and intelligent purposes.
