Equipment port layout diagram: The equipment port layout diagram is a drawing used to determine the positions of various ports, as well as the relative locations of supports and anchor bolts during equipment manufacturing; it also serves as a guide for determining the installation direction when setting up the equipment. For non-standard equipment, a pipe outlet layout diagram should be prepared, preferably on A4 paper size. The nozzle orientation diagram includes the following: (1) View. It indicates the orientation of various ports on the device. (2) Dimensions and markings. Indicate each pipe outlet and its orientation. (3) Direction indicator. (4) Nozzle symbols and nozzle table. (5) Necessary explanations. (6) Title bar. Standard HG 20519.26-92 provides detailed specifications for equipment nozzle orientation diagrams, as shown in the figure below. 2 PipeCAD includes an interface for adjusting the orientation of vertical equipment nozzles, which facilitates such adjustments; moreover, it allows for the export of nozzle orientation diagrams with just one click. Because the nozzle orientation diagram has clear rules, it is suitable for automatic generation by programs. For the pipe openings in the horizontal and vertical directions of vertical equipment, the orientation of these openings can be quickly set by adjusting the angle, distance, and elevation. The bottom view is obtained by projecting the equipment, and then the third-party library ezdxf is used to generate the final port orientation diagram, including text annotations and the creation of port tables. For the generation of the port orientation diagram for a single device, since few models need to be processed, the text annotations, tables, etc. produced are highly systematic, resulting in a fast generation speed. So far, the program logic has been primarily verified, and there are still some details to address; once those are finalized, a version can be released. Finally, let’s demonstrate the operation through a video: 3.
