Does ProII simulate extractant-related issues in extractive distillation?

I would like to ask those who have experience with ProII simulation for extractive distillation: why doesn’t the extractant function as it should during such simulations? Even after adding the extractant, it is still not possible to separate compounds with similar boiling points. What is the nature of the feed material? In ProII simulations, the composition of the overhead product differs little from that of the feed. What exactly needs to be adjusted when performing extractive distillation simulations?
The added extractant wasn’t useful after all! There are no interaction parameters in this type of database, so it needs to be tested manually.
