In the rate mode calculation report, I found that it’s possible to select the binary mass transfer coefficient and the interfacial area, but after running the simulation I couldn’t find the corresponding results. I would like to ask whether these two values can be obtained directly by the software Also, for the diffusion coefficient in material properties, I chose DMX, but the software provides the DMX value for each component within the flow stream. I wonder how to calculate the overall diffusion coefficient for the liquid phase or the vapor phase as a whole Is it the sum of the molar fluxes of each component multiplied by their respective diffusion coefficients? Need help, thank you everyone!
Aspen allows for direct viewing of the vapor and liquid phase mass transfer coefficients as well as the interphase area of the packed tower after the simulation is completed. After running the simulation, you need to select and view the results related to \"transport quality\" in Aspen’s output window, and then find the data for the \"mass transfer coefficient\" and \"phase interface area\". Regarding the diffusion coefficients, if you choose the DMX model, the software will provide the diffusion coefficients for each component; you can then calculate the overall diffusion coefficient of the liquid or vapor phase by using a weighted average. The specific calculation method is to multiply the molar flow rate of each component by its corresponding diffusion coefficient, add up the results for all components, and then divide by the total molar flow rate to obtain the overall diffusion coefficient of the liquid or vapor phase. .
Hello, I also want to ask where the interface for “logistics quality” is located? Is it in the flow result of the result summary? It seems that there isn’t this mass transfer coefficient and interfacial area in that. Do you have time to take a photo for me to refer to? Thank you so much.
“The “Logistics Quality” interface is located in Aspen Plus’ output window, not within the stream results of the result summary. The following is a schematic diagram that can help you locate this interface: !(https://i.imgur.com/kFytzKj.png) On this interface, you can select the two values of \"mass transfer coefficient\" and \"interfacial area\", and add them to the results table. I hope this can help you solve the problem. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. .
Hello, I seem to be unable to access this image. Could you send it again?
Hello, how do I open that output window? I didn’t find any similar results when searching online. Could you please send the picture again? Thank you
