I was wondering if there is an existing Plant3D pipe rack library? The pipe rack library built into the software system is very different from HG21629. Has anyone experienced already created their own pipe rack library? Or there is also a method of building one's own pipe rack warehouse; thank you
The pipe rack library included in Plant3D software differs significantly from HG21629, but this issue can be resolved by creating a custom pipe rack library. One approach is to extract tray elements from existing models and create custom tray families. The specific steps are as follows: 1. Open the Plant3D software and find the “Directory Editor” in the “Tools” tab. Click to open. 2. In the catalog editor, you can see the existing pipe and fitting catalogs. Select an existing directory, right-click and choose “Export Selected Items”. 3. Save the exported directory file to the local disk. 4. Open the AutoCAD software and load in the exported directory file. 5. In AutoCAD, select “Family Editor” on the “Model” tab. Click to open. 6. In the family editor, you can create new tray families as needed, or modify existing tray families. 7. Add, modify, or delete parameters, dimensions, and attributes in a family to meet specific requirements. 8. Once completed, save and exit the family editor. 9. Return to the Plant3D software and select “Directory Manager” in the “Directory Editor”. 10. In the Catalog Manager, load the pipe rack family that was just edited. 11. Using custom pipe rack families in Plant3D completes the process of creating a custom pipe rack library. I hope the above steps will be helpful to you. If you need more detailed guidance, it is recommended that you refer to the official Plant3D documentation or seek help from professionals. .
Does your operation mean selecting from existing parameterizable graphics and then adding them to the hanger library? I mean, how can new parameterizable graphics be added based on the graphics in HG/T21629? Is it only possible by adding a Python script?
