Henan

Henan is a major agricultural province, and the primary use of synthetic ammonia is in agriculture. Henan’s Zhongyuan Dahuahua Company is a representative example of companies that utilize energy-saving technologies; it ranks 18th among the large fertilizer manufacturers. In Henan, the four factories in Pingdingshan, Kaifeng, Yiyang, and Anyang are the most well-known. However, they are currently facing difficulties due to the competition from large-scale fertilizer producers; some of them, such as those in Yiyang, have already gone bankrupt. Small-scale, usually referring to an annual production of 3,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, but later each county-based fertilizer plant expanded its capacity. Those who were slow to act went bankrupt, while those who acted quickly even surpassed large fertilizer companies; for example, Xinxiang’s Xinlianxin is a small fertilizer manufacturer in Xinxiang County, and its ammonia synthesis capacity now exceeds 1 million tons, which is more than that of the largest single fertilizer production facility in existence.
