During the holiday, the urea market in China was weak, with limited new orders being placed by factories, leading to a gradual decline in urea prices. In Hebei province, the typical ex-factory price for urea is around 1660–1700 yuan per ton, while in Shandong province it is around 1660–1680 yuan per ton. There is some room for negotiation regarding these prices. In Shandong province, the typical ex-factory price for small-grain urea remains stable: Ruixing Chemical offers 1650 yuan per ton, with no changes in price; Mingshui Chemical offers 1720 yuan per ton, also with no changes; Yangmei Pingyuan offers 1675 yuan per ton, again with no changes. Starting today, tolls on highways will be reinstated, raising the shipping costs for businesses; as a result, there will be an increase in the willingness to purchase goods from downstream areas in the logistics industry. On the demand side, domestic end-use demand remains weak at present; in the agricultural sector, demand is low during the off-season, with purchases being scattered. Moreover, influenced by a tendency to buy when prices rise and avoid buying when they fall, dealers are cautious about making purchases. The peak season for urea use in China is likely to be in June and July. In the industrial sector, compound fertilizer and panel manufacturers tend to make purchases in moderation when prices are low. Internationally, it is reported that India plans to issue tenders in the near future; however, weak international prices may limit the support available for domestic trade.
