On November 2, the first methanol synthesis tower of this project, which was dispatched from Deyang, Sichuan on September 8, arrived at its destination after a successful journey by river, sea, and land. In road transport, taking into account the issues of excessive dimensions and weight of the synthesis towers, a front-pull back-push configuration is used, with two locomotives at each end; the total length of the transport vehicles exceeds 100 meters and their weight is over 700 tons. The methanol synthesis tower has a diameter of 4.35 meters and a height of 23.645 meters; each unit weighs around 500 tons. It is the core equipment of the methanol production facility, and it operates in a configuration of two synthesis towers connected in series and parallel. The successful arrival of the synthesis tower ensured the smooth implementation of the project’s plan for lifting large-scale components, taking a crucial step forward toward the production of qualified methanol in the company’s methanol production area; it also laid a solid foundation for the rapid progress of the project.
