The methanol price in the Panjin area remains stable at 1,930–1,960 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse. In the Shenyang area, the price stays steady at 2,100 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse. At the beginning of the week, most parties adopted a wait-and-see attitude. The methanol market in Henan saw a slight decline, with many buyers adopting a wait-and-see attitude. Henan-based companies maintain stable quotes, but the actual ex-factory prices are declining, at around 1,970–1,980 yuan per ton ； Quotations in the Luoyang market are declining, with negotiation prices around 1980–2000 yuan per ton. Currently, there is no market price for methanol in the Qinghai region. Due to winter gas supply restrictions, all major gas-based methanol production facilities in Qinghai are currently shut down for maintenance. Production is expected to resume in March 2021. In Linfen, Shanxi, the prevailing transaction price has decreased by 10-20 yuan per ton, now standing at 1,910-1,920 yuan per ton on a spot cash basis for ex-works delivery ； The offline price in the Changzhi area is 2,020 yuan per ton, with cash payment at delivery ； The prevailing transaction price in the Jincheng area has stabilized at 1,930 yuan per ton, ex-warehouse and in cash. The mainstream reference price for methanol in the Anhui region has dropped by 10–40 yuan per ton, reaching 2150–2160 yuan per ton for delivery upon acceptance. Manufacturers have low inventory levels and are offering stable prices; however, demand from downstream industries is weak, so traders prefer to sell at lower prices. The methanol market in the Two Lakes region remains relatively stable for now. Prices in surrounding areas have declined, and most buyers are adopting a wait-and-see attitude. Hubei-based companies have not offered new prices; their quotes remain stable, with the actual ex-factory price ranging at 2130–2140 yuan per ton ； The price in the Hunan market has seen a slight decline; a reference price for negotiations is 2,260–2,280 yuan per ton. The methanol market in Fujian is sluggish; spot prices in the main storage areas remain stable at around 2250–2270 yuan per ton, including taxes, for delivery from the warehouses. The atmosphere for price negotiations is poor, with discussions remaining stuck at an impasse.
