On the afternoon of November 7, at the technical equipment exhibition area in Hall 3 of the Third China International Import Expo, Haiyan Economic Development Zone and Air Products (China) Investment Co., Ltd. signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the project to establish a hydrogen application R&D center. Wang Suieshe, Deputy Secretary of the Haiyan County Party Committee and County Head, and Zhan Limin, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Haiyan Economic Development Zone (Xitangqiao Sub-district), attended the signing ceremony. In accordance with the memorandum of cooperation, the two parties aim to carry out in-depth collaboration in the research and development of hydrogen energy applications, adhering to the principles of fairness, efficiency, mutual benefit, and win-win outcomes. By leveraging their respective strengths, they seek to further accelerate the development of the hydrogen energy industry in Haiyan and achieve mutual success through this partnership. Air Products is a world-leading global industrial gases company headquartered in the United States. It is one of the largest suppliers of hydrogen and producers of liquid hydrogen in the world, boasting over 60 years of experience in the field of hydrogen energy as well as more than 50 patents related to hydrogen fuel refueling technologies. As the clean energy source with the greatest potential for development in the 21st century, the development and utilization of hydrogen energy represent a major strategic focus for global industrial innovation and energy transition. In recent years, the Haiyan Economic Development Zone has seized the opportunities presented by the development of hydrogen energy. Leveraging its strategic location in the Yangtze River Delta and the abundant surplus hydrogen resources available in the zone, it has successfully attracted Air Products, a global leader in the hydrogen industry, to set up operations there. In May 2019, the Air Products of the United States’ Haiyan Hydrogen Energy and related industries project was signed and established in the Haiyan Economic Development Zone. In June this year, the Hyland Hydrogen Energy Facility project of American Air Products, with a total investment of $1 billion, officially commenced construction. It includes activities such as the production and packaging of hydrogen energy, the manufacturing of key equipment components for the hydrogen industry, and the development of demonstration cities for hydrogen energy utilization. This project focuses on the comprehensive development and utilization of hydrogen energy, aiming to create a \"China Hydrogen Valley\". Total investment of $1 billion! Construction begins on Air Products’ Haisai Hydrogen Energy Base Project. To achieve this ambitious goal and to accelerate the research and development of hydrogen energy in the Asian region, Air Products of the United States intends to establish a research and development center in Haisai focused on hydrogen energy applications, thereby fostering technological innovation and its practical implementation, and ultimately creating a core competitive advantage as well as a development cluster for the hydrogen energy industry. “Today, it is a great honor for me to sign a memorandum of cooperation with Haiyan Economic Development Zone on this inclusive, open, and collaborative platform of the China International Import Expo, in order to explore joint efforts in the research and development of hydrogen energy applications. ”Su Junxiong, President of Air Products in China, said, “The partnership between Air Products and Haiyan began with our shared vision of advancing the hydrogen industry and promoting green, sustainable development. Today’s signing takes our cooperation a step further.” ” The signing of this cooperation memorandum provides technological support and strong impetus for Haiyan to develop and strengthen its industry chain in new energy and new materials, as well as to accelerate the creation of a \"Hydrogen Valley in China\". Next, the Haiyan Economic Development Zone and relevant departments will fully embrace the \"shop assistant\" service spirit and make every effort to provide proper support and services.
