Shaanxi Petrochemical Conducts Self-Inspection of \"Dual Control\" and \"Dual Carbon\" Indicators Author/Source: Shaanxi Petrochemical News Date: 2021-11-03 Clicks: 21 A few days ago, Shaanxi Petrochemical Company initiated a self-inspection to assess indicators related to pollutant emissions, carbon emissions, energy consumption, and water usage. This inspection provided valuable insights for the subsequent verification of carbon emissions and energy-saving assessments, as well as serving as a scientific basis for selecting projects aimed at reducing pollution and carbon emissions as well as carrying out energy-saving upgrades. At the end of October, members of the special assessment team from Shaanxi Coal Group went to Shaanxi Chemical to conduct a two-day investigation into indicators related to pollutant emissions, carbon emissions, energy consumption, and water consumption. They also held the first meeting to discuss the assessment of the “dual control” and “dual carbon” targets. After the meeting, the members of the expert group had in-depth discussions with the relevant departments of Shanxi Chemical Company. They collected information on aspects such as the company’s organizational structure, production operation data, energy consumption metrics, laboratory analysis results, management of key energy-consuming equipment, environmental emission standards, and plans for various energy-saving projects. This provided strong support for exploring potential areas for energy savings in terms of management, structure, and technology. They also conducted a detailed verification of data such as statistical reports, measurement records, and carbon emission reports to ensure the accuracy of the information. It is understood that prior to this inspection, Shaanxi Chemical Industry Company established a dedicated task force to conduct a thorough assessment. This team clarified the objectives and defined the responsibilities involved. Taking into account the company’s current production, operation, and management practices, systematic and continuous arrangements were made in four stages: submission of basic information, collection of records, ongoing follow-up and improvement, and conduct of on-site inspections. A list of required documents was prepared, along with specific deadlines. At present, the preliminary self-inspection work related to the \"dual control\" and \"dual carbon\" goals is being carried out in an orderly manner, with the collection of data for the first phase expected to be completed by mid-November.
