Author/Source: Kelong Chuxing Chemical Group Date: 2021-11-30 Clicks: 14 As of November 17, the new nitric acid production unit in the nitrogenous acid and compound fertilizer division of this chemical subsidiary has been operating continuously and stably for 100 days since it was brought online on August 9, setting a new record for the longest operational period since such a production unit was put into use. Since the new nitric acid plant was brought online with self-ignition, the department leaders and production technicians have drawn on the experience gained from the long-term operation of the old nitric acid plant, taken those lessons into account, stepped up efforts to address leaks and other issues at the production site, identified responsible persons and set deadlines, and implemented assessments ; Optimize the operational parameters of the process; adjust the blade opening of the air compressors and the speed of the turbines according to different seasons, in order to fully utilize production capacity ; Further intensify the skill training for operators to enhance their emergency response capabilities ; Strengthen the assessment of process discipline to ensure that operators follow procedures correctly and conduct inspections on time. During this period, major issues that affected the long-term operation of the production line were properly resolved, such as low vacuum levels in the surface coolers, nitrogen oxide leaks from the low-pressure rapid coolers, and nitrogen oxide leaks from the nitrogen compressors’ anti-surge valves. More than 50 various leaks were addressed promptly, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the facility. The stable operation of the new nitric acid plant has also enabled the particle-sized nitric acid production facility to reach a scale suitable for commercial production; it is now fully capable of meeting market demands. As a result, the overall production capacity of the ammonium fertilizer division has been fully utilized, contributing to the achievement of the company’s business objectives for 2021.
