The environmental protection and energy-saving upgrade project for the company’s gasification and ammonia synthesis plants has officially commenced, entering a full-scale construction phase. In accordance with the relevant industry and environmental protection policies at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, all fixed-bed batch gasifiers must be phased out by the end of September 2024. Tianyue Company’s current gasification facilities utilize 16 cone-jacketed fixed-bed batch gasifiers with a diameter of 2.8 meters, which do not meet the requirements stipulated in the relevant policy documents. As required by Orchid Innovation Co., Ltd., the company has upgraded its existing fixed-bed batch gasification furnaces to environmentally friendly and energy-efficient models using pure oxygen continuous gasification furnaces, while also making corresponding modifications to the related processes. The total estimated investment for this project is 222 million yuan (of which 95.33 million yuan is allocated to the air separation unit). It fully meets the requirements set by Shanxi Province for technical upgrades, which stipulate that there should be no increase in production capacity, no increase in pollutant emissions, and no increase in energy consumption. Therefore, it constitutes an environmental protection and energy-saving renovation project. The project involves the construction of 10 new pure oxygen continuous gasification units with a diameter of 3.2 meters, the installation of a new air separation unit, the addition of a pre-desulfurization system to the semi-desulfurization process, the replacement of electrostatic precipitators, and various other upgrades and modifications; completion is expected by the end of September 2024.
