Recently, Jiangsu Huachang Chemical Co., Ltd. obtained the technical license and equipment supply contract for Stamicarbon’s ultra-low energy consumption urea production technology, a global pioneer in urea technology. Its capacity is 1,860 MTPD, utilizing Stamicarbon’s ultra-low energy consumption design and efficient batch reactor concept. It is understood that the advantage of Stamicarbon’s ultra-low energy consumption design lies in the fact that high-pressure steam is used three times instead of twice, which makes this process more energy-efficient than traditional carbon dioxide stripping. This heat recovery solution can reduce steam consumption by 35% and cooling water usage by 16%. Hu Bo, chairman of Huachang Chemical, said, “Sustainable development is at the core of our company. When looking to replace our old urea production facilities, we sought energy-saving solutions to help reduce emissions and energy consumption.” Through ultra-low energy consumption technologies, we are able to significantly reduce the use of steam and water, making a substantial contribution to our sustainability goals. ” Zhang Chenggang, the first representative of Stamicarbon’s Beijing office in the Netherlands, said, “We are committed to developing sustainable solutions, and ultra-low energy consumption design is an important part of our efforts in this regard.” This project represents an important milestone for Huachang Chemical in moving toward greater sustainability and efficiency. ”
