Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical will produce 482,200 tons of ethylene glycol in 2025

According to Shaanxi Yueneng Chemical, in 2025 the company will produce 482,200 tons of ethylene glycol throughout the year, with revenue reaching 2.99 billion yuan. Additionally, a key breakthrough was achieved in the pilot project for 3-hydroxypropionic acid, while projects aimed at extending and strengthening polymer chains, such as those involving polyols and PPC, are progressing steadily. Yuneng Chemical’s ethylene glycol is produced using Corin powder gasification (2 Corin gasifiers), two-stage isothermal shift reaction, desulfurization and decarburization, deep cryogenic separation plus PSA for hydrogen extraction, as well as CNCE Dongfang’s ethylene glycol technology, with an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons. By December 2023, the main construction work and all associated environmental protection facilities were completed. Environmental protection acceptance completed in June 2024.
