Recently, there have been problems with caking of the granular NH3 product; I’m not sure what the cause is – how should the process be adjusted?
My company has very high standards for product quality; any caking is considered abnormal. The leader wants the cause to be investigated – it’s really frustrating.
Is it due to climate change?
Granular nitrate is pure nitric acid AN, without any additives; it possesses the properties of plate nitrate, and it would be strange if it did not clump together.
I wonder how long the lumps mentioned by the original poster have been there? Our granular nitrate maintains excellent looseness even after being stored for half a month. The key is to reduce the moisture content and lower the packaging temperature as well.

Adding a wrapping agent solves the problem. Our unit adds a packaging agent.
