This morning, I asked several people to help me find some pictures posted by a forum member in the past, but to no avail. As a consolation, I’ve drawn a rough sketch for everyone instead. Well, let’s get to the point. Issue 6: Layout of compressors. The layout of compressors is discussed separately in 20546 as reciprocating and centrifugal types; I won’t go into that detail here. From a design perspective, they are all compressors, and their characteristics are more or less similar. Specific details will be covered separately. Well~~ Speaking of compressors, I would like to earnestly ask the leading domestic compressor manufacturers to improve their technical services and cooperation with design institutes, would that be possible? When arranging the compressor, it is important to communicate as much as possible with the manufacturer, as compressors come with many accessories; the larger the compressor, the more accessories there are, so sufficient space must be reserved. And it is well arranged. Especially for compressors with inlet and outlet at the bottom, it is essential to discuss in detail with the manufacturer matters such as the clearance in the pipes and filters, and have the compressor manufacturer provide you with a complete set of installation requirements. 2. I’d like to emphasize the compressors used for combustible gases – everyone must strictly follow the specifications outlined in 50160. As for concepts such as the “pseudo-second layer” and “individual 150 units,” I’ve already discussed them in the sections related to fire safety, so I won’t go into detail here. Those who are not familiar with these concepts should check the earlier posts; they contain diagrams I drew while explaining things to my apprentices, done hastily by hand – please don’t laugh at them. 3. As you can see from the picture above, isn’t it a bit wasteful to have just one compressor in such a large factory building? When arranging the compressors, it is necessary to ensure that the clear distance between the unit and the walls of the building meets the requirements for maintaining components such as the pistons, crankshafts, and rotors of the compressors or drives; this distance should not be less than 2 meters ; It’s those things on the edges of that largest component up there. The area must be large enough to accommodate the largest components of the engine set. If there are multiple units, considering sharing a maintenance site is an option. The factory building should take into account the entry and exit of the largest components, but generally not the entire machine. 4. The compressor foundation should be separated from the factory building foundation, with a minimum distance of 1 m. 5. As you can see from the image below, there are vehicles in use; determining what size of vehicle and what type of lifting device to use is a problem that plagues many designers. I can offer some practical guidelines: for vehicles weighing less than 1 ton, a hook lift can be used, or a mobile tripod can also be employed. Beam cranes are used for 1 to 3 tons. Bridge cranes are used for 3 to 10 tons. For weights over 10 tons, electric bridge cranes are used. For the smaller ones, it can be manual or electric, depending on the owner’s preference. The lifting height for maintenance work must be coordinated well with the manufacturer; it’s very problematic if the crane is set too low. There’s a similar case in the forum: the machine had difficulty moving, and it was necessary to install the butterfly valve horizontally; in some cases, it couldn’t move at all. As long as you communicate properly with the manufacturer and follow the specifications for 50160, there should be no major issues. The lifting height of the hand-drawn diagram is too low; should I write less?

It’s the first time I’ve been this close:D I don’t really know much about the layout of compressors, but I’ve had some exposure to it; a few times when drawing equipment layout diagrams, I didn’t take into account things like the distance from walls or other relevant factors. Thanks to discovering it myself later: L. Are there any requirements for the channels regarding the compressor layout? Like channel spacing?
If crane designers do not take into account the height of equipment, pipes, and cable trays in the factory building, it will result in the crane becoming a mere decoration, as mentioned by the poster, or it may cause accidents during its operation.
