Is the actual pressure of the medium in our container called gauge pressure or absolute pressure? Thank you, extra points
Indicated pressure is measured with atmospheric pressure as zero; it is also known as gauge pressure or relative pressure, abbreviated as gauge pressure.
Atmospheric pressure is approximately equal to 0.1 MPa (1 kilogram per square centimeter, also known as 1 kg of pressure). Gauge pressure is measured with 0 as the reference point under one atmosphere of pressure. Absolute pressure is a measure of true pressure, with vacuum considered as 0; in an atmospheric environment, the absolute pressure is 0.1 MPa (1 kilogram per square centimeter). Absolute pressure = Gauge pressure + 0.1 MPa
Gauge pressure is used in display and container design, while absolute pressure is used to calculate the properties of the medium. Absolute pressure = Gauge pressure + Local atmospheric pressure
The true pressure is, of course, the absolute pressure. Gauge pressure, as the name implies, is the value shown on a pressure gauge; that’s what gauge pressure refers to.
