Overheated steam heating issue

Hello, experts. I have a question to ask. Our company uses superheated steam to heat a certain material and mix it directly; the temperature of the superheated steam is 400 degrees. I was wondering if using superheated steam results in high energy consumption, as the latent heat isn’t utilized.
To what temperature does your material need to be heated? By mixing, do you mean the direct mixing of steam and the material, with the steam serving both as a heat source and as part of the material itself?
