As the heat exchanger increases in size, it can block the heat exchange process, posing a risk to safe operation. In different production units, heat exchangers vary in size, and the main types of fouling are scale, sludge, coke, and corrosion products. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the heat exchanger regularly to ensure the proper operation of the equipment. Today, I would like to briefly introduce the key points for cleaning heat exchangers. Please note: 1. It is strictly forbidden to use hydrochloric acid for cleaning heat exchangers. Heat exchangers should be maintained regularly; when their thermal efficiency drops significantly or when there are notable changes in pressure drop, the pressure drop should be reduced. 2. If a chemical cleaner is used, it can circulate inside the equipment. If mechanical cleaning is used, a soft brush should be employed. Steel brushes should not be used to avoid scratching the plate. 3. For cleaning, the device can be turned on to wash the sheets one by one. Therefore, due to severe scaling, the bedsheet should be removed and a “497” brush should be placed. 4. After cleaning, the plate and film should be carefully inspected, and any issues identified should be addressed promptly. 5. After rinsing the equipment, it must be dried with a clean cloth. There must be no foreign particles, fibers, or other impurities between the plate and the rubber pad. 6. During the cleaning process, the rubber gaskets and adhesive removal pads that need to be replaced must be attached firmly. Before assembly, check carefully whether the gaskets and adhesive removal pads are level, and wipe off all excess adhesive.
