How do people determine when to use Positive Isolation and when to use Valve Isolation? Are there any tips or tricks? Regarding the principle of isolation, I only understand these two methods: Positive means a complete physical separation using blind flanges or RS. DBB, SBB, DB, SB for Valve isolation. It seems to me that the existing drawings I’ve seen all use a mix of different elements. . .
This is Positive + Valve Isolation. How should I understand it?
